I was replacing a ancient Inox, Made in Western Germany 4-way grater that had served us well for close on 35 years. I like the flat, 4-way graters on one utensil, easy to store and keep at hand. However, Inox has now gone Chinese and I try to avoid Made in China.
I had looked and looked for a replacement. I was please to find this fine Fissler. Definitely a solid, high quality, Made in Germany, utensil but I expected the large grater to be sharper. The slicer is fine, the small grater is fine, but the large grater did not grate carrot all that fast, hence the loss of one star. I don't know what the "magic" is in the product title, Germans seem to like that word on their utensils.
