This little sharpener really does the trick, if your scissors fit into it. I bought it especially to sharpen a pair of kitchen shears that were short, stubby, and not cutting anything anymore. Just a few strokes on the sharpener made them good as new. At work, my coworker and I went on a tear sharpening all the scissors we could find. What fun! Only one pair could not be sharpened, because the plastic blade guards made them too thick to fit. One day I'll take them apart and use a knife sharpener.
