Customer Review: Fiesta glaze strikes again...ouch

Fiesta chinaware remain a true American tableware "classic". You gotta'love the awesome color choices offered. Nothing adds pop to a table setting like Fista table furnishings. But, and it's a big but, the very feature that draws raves (the multi-color glazes) has been the Achilles heal of this product line since it's inception. The Fiesta Large disk pitcher I received had a 3 inch long glaze skip along the length of the handle where the colored glaze did not adhere properly to the handle. And it's not just a minor flaw that you have to look closely for...it's big and bold and very, very obvious. The quality control inspector must have dozed off when this piece came down the addembly line. At best, this particular piece should have been marked a factory "second" and consigned to their outlet store. Don't get me wrong, I still love Fiesta tableware and will continue to add pieces. But it's especially disappointing to buy a new piece straight from the factory and discover such a major defect. If I had purchased this directly from Fiesta's on-line website, then maybe I would have had some recourse. So, folks, this is meant to be a word of caution. Hope your buying luck is better than mine.
