Customer Review: It's a Fiesta in the Kitchen

Fiestaware has been a part of my life for all my life. My grandmother had a set of the original Fiesta set from back in the 1940's, I'd imagine. I always remembered how pretty the set was. While they have discontinued many of the colors I like, they're bringing in new and exciting colors as well.
There are minor flaws in the glazing, but I think they add to rather than detract from their beauty. The difference in this glaze versus the older glazing is that the new glazes are lead-free for safer eating. We use these almost every day and they're simply one of the best dinnerware values on the market. I'm estatic that they've started producing square plates in several of the newer colors. Peacock, ivory and brown look so chic together and everything coordinates nicely. The white, scarlet and shamrock sets are great to get dupicates of and use at Christmas time because they're so festive. For Easter, I use the more pastel colors and dye eggs to match my settings (I use the pink, light blue and light green), then put the eggs atop the upside-down cups. If you want something that will be a good family heirloom to pass down to future generations, Fiestaware is it.
