Customer Review: NOT GOOD FOR MICROWAVE OVENS

NOT GOOD FOR MICROWAVE OVENS!! Whenever the handle of a cup is attached and not part of the mug itself, the glue or adhesive that is used can break down with repeated microwave use. The handle could eventually drop right off. I'm surprised the manufacturer didn't take this into consideration knowing that most people will heat their soup right in the mug. Other than that, I'm very happy with this soup mug--even though there was one small flaw near the base of the handle. Nothing too noticeable, thank goodness, but if I had more time before Christmas I would exchange it. I measured some water into it and found that it only holds 16 oz, though. (The 16 oz of water came about 1/4" below the rim; 18 oz was right at the top and ready to overflow.) That could just be the industry's standard for measuring, but I feel they should give the actual "useable" volume in the cup.
