I received these candles in a boxed set two years ago and I am finally close to burning out my last candle. The candles are a wonderful mix of earth and wood scents.
I see complaints here about how quickly the wax melts, which can be true in open air, but the scent was so strong and lasting that I would not burn them continuously for an extended period of time.
I also found that by placing one candle in a tall, close-fitting, glass holder this allowed the wax to melt down around the base of the candle. Once the wick burned below the top of the glass holder the wax melted slowly and completely, extending the full life of the candle.

I ordered this item online because the picture made it look so nice. What I got wasn't nearly as nice. The plate was not cermamic as stated in the listing. It is actually a very cheap looking metal one and looks nothing like the one is the photo. The candles don't have that nice marbled look to them. They are flat colors and the colors don't exactly match the one's in the photo. It didn't come with nearly that many rocks so it ended up looking very bare. Overall I could have made a better version of this product for less than what I paid. I was very disapointed by what I got.Customer Review: Mine are fine

I guess mine are burning fast. But I have them on a marble plate and am not worrying about them going through or anything. Just take the precautions you should take with any candles, really. Don't leave them unattended, things like that. Any candles you burn over stones are going to get the stones waxy. That's a given.
As far as them burning fast, they look cool but I don't intend to let them sit there forever, anyway. I don't mind burning through them. They were a gift and I'm getting use out of them. I like mine fine and I think they are nice.

Relax with these candles, alone or otherwise. These are the candles you want as a centerpiece of a small table. When lit, the hues are like any other candle. When lit, the room brightens exquisitely. When lit, what needs dimming is dimmed, but what needs lighting is alit. The scent will enrapture your senses while calming the air. Mostly, this candle set is not for lighting. You will not depend on this when a storm has extinguished your lamps. These are decorative, and through the long burning life, they will also be beautiful unlit.Customer Review: Can get MUCH better elsewhere!

I bought these candles because I thought they would look nice on my end table near the couch. At first, they did look nice. However, when I lit them they melted so much within the first half hour that the wax spilled all over the plate, off the edge of the table, and on to the floor. It took me an hour to get the wax out of the carpet!
The plate and rocks were ruined too, covered in blobby candles and melted wax.
My suggestion if you buy this set - DO NOT BURN THE CANDLES! Use it as a decoration only.
