This was purchased because my wife hates bacon grease that seems to pop like popcorn all over her when she is cooking. So I decided to give the Farberware Pro 13-Inch Odor Absorbing Splatter Screen a try.
When I took the splatter screen out of the box my first impression was that it was a giant fly swatter. It is very light and rests on top of the pan. It was a little loose on my pan and I would have hoped for a tighter fit. It does a good job of keeping the bacon grease from flying. As far as odors go it does a nice job of trapping them but once you lift it off the pan the odors seem to escape so it is somewhat counter productive.
All in all it is worth the price and I have no regrets making the purchase.
