Customer Review: So-So Electric Skillet

My wife is the primary user of this electric skillet, and this is what she tells me:
The thick, heavy metal makes this skillet appear substantial, and that's a plus. The fact that the skillet can be completely immersed for washing is another good point, and she likes the quality of the non-stick surface. But...
The electrical connector is very hard to plug and unplug from the skillet. It's definitely a two-hand operation to unplug, and that can be problematic or even dangerous when the skillet contains hot cooking oil. Also, the temperature control seems to be either off or on, but not really adjustable. In addition, the lid does not fit securely on the skillet. It is too easy to just bump the lid and make it slide off the skillet.
Bottom line: Some good points, some bad. The skillet fries well, but has some fairly serious convenience issues.
