Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fagor Splendid 6-Quart Pressure CookerCustomer Review: This is my second one! Summary: 4 Stars
This is my second Fagor pressure cooker! Not because I didn't like the first... because we have a summer home and I wanted to have one there too! I use mine all the time and love the convenience the pressure cooker gives me when cooking meals. I also use the cookbook that comes with the Fagor pressure cooker! The Beef Bourguignon and the Risotto with Peas are two of my favorites! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the gasket is little expensive to replace. (I have only had to replace my gasket once) I would highly recommend The Fagor Pressure Cooker to all!
Customer Review: Easy to use, not scary, time-saver! Summary: 5 Stars
This product is very well-constructed. It is simple to use and easy to clean. I use it to cook brown rice and dry beans, and it has cut my cooking time down immeasurably. I have only had it a few months so far, and I have not been able to perfect the rice (there always seems to be too much water left at the end), but I will keep reducing the amount of water until I have the perfect mix. I would highly recommend this pressure cooker to anyone, beginning cooks or seasoned culinary experts. I'll certainly be sending one down to South Carolina for mothers day.
Customer Review: WOW!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I am new to pressure cooking so when i got this as a gift I was a little leary until I used it for the first time. I was really surprised at how easy and well it worked. The food turned out wonderful and the meat was so tender. It literally took me longer to prepare the ingredients than it did to cook. I made chicken cattiatore in 12 minutes. (not counting the prep time)
The pan itself is very well made. Heavy stainless with aluminium/stainless bottom. The lid is easy to lock/unlock and it even comes with a small book of recipes to get you started.
Customer Review: well worths every dolloar Summary: 5 Stars
the instructions that come with this item will help you cook anything, the safty instructions are a great help, the recipes book is a great boon, and the pot over all is beautiful, cooks even on an electric flat top with no problems, the comments from customers made me switch brands to a fargo.the only problem I have is I should have spent a few dollars more and gotten the next pot than what I got, with basket and insert, you will use them. Cooks beans, outstanding, Cooks pot roast dinner, 30mins. Easy to clean and maintain. this i9s well worth the dollars.
Customer Review: Inferior! Summary: 1 Stars
I owned and used a pressure cooker for over 30 years and NEVER had a problem. I bought this Presto and made soup 3 times...all scorched. When the heat was up high enough to create pressure and rock the pressure regulator, the chili scorched. And when I turned the heat down, the pressure regulator would not rock, and while waiting for the regulator to rock, the black bean soup scorched. I tried a third time and let the heat get high enough for pressure, but again...the pea soup scorched. I sent it back for a refund. Buy stainless steel and NOT Presto!
