All of my friends enjoy canning and I am an avid gardener, so I have no excuses now. I bought the Fagor Home Canning Kit and used it as soon as it arrived! The kit has everything you need except the jars and the canning pan, you really do not need anything else. The instructions are simple and everything is stored inside my canner when it is not in use. This kit has everything a home canner could want. The invention of the magnetized stick to lift the lids from boiling water is positively genius.
The picture might imply that the pot comes with the kit. It does not, but the equipment fits anything you are already using. You'll be very glad you made this modest investment.Fagor Home Canning Kit

It was packed well and arrived quickly, but I thought the canning rack was going to be for a large 23 qt. water bath canner and it is for a small pressure cooker..maybe 6 qt size? I think it would be helpful to let people know the size of the canning rack in the description. I did need a jar lifter, not sure how much I will use the other stuff.Customer Review: Buyer Beware -- NOT for pressure canning!

Being new at canning I purchased this home canning kit, as I have the pressure cooker at home already. I quickly learned that pressure cookers are NOT considered safe for the high pressure canning method. So purchase this canning kit only for canning small batches of food using the hot water bath method of canning.

A good selection of canning supplies are included in this kit. Included is a manual for canning specific fruits and vegetables however the directions are specific to a pressure canner that measures the pressure settings as low, medium, or high instead of the specific amount of pressure required.
