The silicon gasket which came with the new unit failed after less than a year, got a tear in it somehow, really didn't have that much use, so I was disappointed. The Presto gaskets last longer and I never had one tear like this.Customer Review: Hope this one does the trick

Well I only had my original seal that came with the cooker about 4 months- it went bad (I did oil it like they advised) so we shall see how long this one lasts. I only use the cooker once or twice a month.Customer Review: Finally my pressure cooker works again!

Works great. We have had pressure cookers for over 20 years and use one every day (for veggies) this replacemtnt gasket last 2-3 times loger than our previous gaskets on other pressure cookers.
