After much contemplation, I purchased this set in an effort to get away from the nonstick pans that are so prevelant today. I researched the brand and discovered that Fagor pans are popular in Eurpopean countires, but are not so common here in the U.S. I already owned a Fagor Multi-pot and while this larger set does not have the encapsulated base that the multi-pot has, this set looks, feels, and performs just as well.The handles are confortable to hold, the glass lids fit snugly, the steam escape vent on the lids is well designed, and the overall performance is top-quality. The pan sizes that Fagor has chosen to include in this set are perfect. As with all stainless pans, they do have a tendency to become discolored after cooking starchy foods like rice, but with a touch of Barkeeper's Friend cleaner, the discolorations disappear. I also strongly suggest that if you buy stainless pans, you should follow the directions that say to preheat the pans before adding ingredients, and never heat on your highest setting. With proper care, this set it sure to last us for many, many years.

New from Fagor, the commercial 10 piece Tri-Ply Cookware Set with stay cool cast stainless steel handles has a clean modern look and the durability of restaurant quality cookware. Made to withstand up to 500 degrees, the oven safe cookware is safe to use on all domestic cooking surfaces, gas, electric, ceramic, and induction. It has an inner and outer layer of 18/10 stainless steel and a heavy gauge aluminum core for maximum heat conductivity. The lids are tempered glass with cast stainless steel handles and have a hole for steam to escape. Dishwasher safe, the cookware comes with 1 year warranty under normal household use.
