I first purchased a smaller 3-cup version of a Ktichenaid chopper at a local store. I returned it when I realized that this re-conditioned one was larger and more powerful, and only a few dollars more. I appreciate the veresatility of having two sizes at my disposal. The mechanism to get the whole chopping rolling is a bit complicated, but those are precautions to not cut yourself. If one does not overload the bowl, thngs come out evenley chopped and well incorporated. I have chopped herbs, made bruschetta and salsa in this, chopped onions, garlic, sliced vegetables and jullienned carrots and potatoes. Great item.

This 5-cup food processor from KitchenAid is the perfect size for most projects. And for those projects that only require a small processed amount, this model comes with a 2-cup capacity mini bowl, which fits snugly right into the main work bowl. The multipurpose blade chops fresh veggies and fruits, grates hard cheeses, makes bread crumbs, and even finely chops citrus peel. For slicing and shredding, a stainless-steel attachment disc is included.
