It's just a little bit noisy, but works wonderfully! Product was shipped the very next day. I'm still experimenting with the recipes. I discovered that adding some dissolved Knox unflavored gelatin to the mixture keeps it from freezing up too hard and becoming "flinty". I'm also using natural sugar substitutes of Erythritol or Xylitol, so it's great for making desserts for diabetics!Customer Review: Homemade ice cream is a lot of fun!!

This ice cream maker looks as good as new and works like a dream. You just freeze the bowl overnight and it churns out creamy ice cream within 30 minutes. The best part of making ice cream at home is the limitless possibility to experiment with wholesome ingredients including fresh fruits. And the results are soooo much better. This is my first ice cream maker and I found it very easy to use and put together/take apart. My only complaint is that so much of the ice cream sticks to the edges of the frozen insert bowl. The scrapers don't go all the way to the edge (I guess they can't) and the ice cream stuck to the edges doesn't have the best consistency. I see that the Model 20 is no longer advertised. My experience with it is:
Used it 3 times. Worked fine.
Fourth time----- VERY noisy. But that isn't my problem with it. After the ice cream was made (looked fine) I (and a strong man) could not 'unlatch' the top! And we tried everything except a hammer.
I would love to know if anyone else had that problem.

This ice cream maker is so easy to use! It makes it easy to create low fat sherbet, sorbet and frozen yogurt options! We keep the bowl in the freezer so we can make homemade ice cream in a moment's notice. Also, the bowl is easy to clean and pop right back in the freezer for the next use. I highly recommend! And, we have had no problems with the re-furbished model.
