Okay, a colander only has one pretty simple task, let liquid run off while holding in the solid bits, but thaving been using a cheap one for the past half year, I'd note that there are big differences. This is the best colander i've used. big, great handles, and cleans well (I wash stuff like this by hand, though, always have, so i haven't tried the dishwasher with it).
