Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Euro Cuisine Set of 8 Glass Jars for Yogurt Maker

Customer Review: You don't need a special jar to make yogurt.
Summary: 1 Stars

Euro Cuisine jars are ok, though the lids don't screw quite tight. But seriously, you don't need Euro Cuisine jars to prepare yogurt. ANY glass jar will do. Jam jars. Honey jars. Herring jars. I use them all. Your household must go through dozens, if not hundreds, of jars in a year.

Unless you are in desperate need of retail therapy, save your money, save the environment, and reuse a jar you already own.

Customer Review: Wish they didn't leak
Summary: 4 Stars

These jars are the same as those that came with the yogurt maker. They're fine, but I wish they didn't leak. I have to be extra-careful to keep my lunch box upright, or the yogurt juice will get all over everything. Still, I knew this before purchasing these, and they work fine. It's nice to have a set of 8, since it gives you a bit of leeway if you break one, or one is still full when you want to make another batch.

Customer Review: Perfect for baby food!
Summary: 5 Stars

These jars are great for baby food. The lids are much nicer than baby food lids. I haven't had a problem with the jars leaking, ever. Plus I can freeze them, microwave them, refrigerate them, without worrying about leaching plastic additives. The day after my first batch arrived, I ordered the second batch. They're dishwasher safe too, and my 1 1/2 year old son hasn't managed to break one, even though he's a dropper.

Customer Review: Lids Leak - Too Small to add Anything Else
Summary: 2 Stars

These are certainly handy, but the lids leak. They are tight enough to keep the yogurt fresh, but don't expect to toss one in a bag for lunch.

Also, these jars are fairly small. About the size of a store bought yogurt. The problem is there isn't room to add a flavor after the yogurt is made. So no adding fruit!

Other wise these do cleanup easily.

Customer Review: Good Sour Milk!
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had this yogurt maker for a few months, now. It works very well (once the cook learned what he was doing!). My only gripe, which has already been noted in other reviews, is the lids on the jars do not seal well. Otherwise, it's a good product. Get an extra set of jars while you're at it.
