I needed to purchase a gift for the President of a retail department store chain here in the USA who absolutely loves espresso. He contacted many of his suppliers and friends who knew the business. After his staff did some serious reserach, they learned that he wanted a commercial quality, traditional one-group espresso machine, that has the ability to brew coffee (and tea for that matter if you use the pods) and froth milk at the same time. There are only a handful of machines that can do this.The ESPRESSIONE #XP1 Professional machine can do this. It has two complete systems for brewing your coffee and frothing milk, thus they can be done at the same time.
I contacted the Espressione corporate headquarters and found out the machine is manufactured by Grimac (Italy) the largest producer of commercial espresso machines in Italy. All of the parts and components in the machine are commercial in quality.
I was told that this machine was a very strong machine. So I bought this as a gift for my friend. The result...it's the best gift I've ever given him. No special wiring was required. It is a pour-over system which means it does not have to be installed by a plumber.
He is truly impressed with the quality and fires it up several times each day. I also bought him a started pack of the Espressione coffee pods (100% Arabica) from amazon and he continues to purchase these on his own.
This machine comes highly recommended by people that truly know this business. If you want something serious with the old world charm, this is absolutely the unit to purchase.

The Espressione Professional machine produced in Italy by Grimac, who enjoys a wealth of knowledge with more than thirty years of experience in the coffee sector. The XP1 features commercial quality components, extracting the fullest flavor possible. Dual boilers allow for zero recovery time in between espresso and cappuccino. Can easily produce many continuous espressos and cappuccinos due to two different systems for extracting espresso and steaming milk. Thermally balanced professional group unit with a heavy-duty porta-filter made with high quality solid brass with nickel and chromium plating. 1.3 Liter nickel-plated copper boiler with internal heat plus a 1400W-heating element. ESE adaptable for use with ground coffee or easy clean up, coffee pods. The ESPRESSIONE PROFESSIONAL machine This highly polished brushed stainless steel machine is well suited for small restaurants, hotels, and cafes, and of course, use by the upscale consumer. This is definitely the machine of choice for the upscale consumer in their quest for qualitySerious espresso drinkers want a serious machine--and this is it. Crafted in Italy of highly polished stainless steel with professional grade components, the XP1 handles restaurant demands as well as the demands of the high-end user. This workhorse can even be left on all day to satisfy a house full of holiday guests. After 10 minutes the 1.3-liter copper boiler is fully heated and raring to go; with no recovery time needed between extractions, multiple cups of espresso can be brewed continuously. Two systems allow milk steaming and espresso extraction simultaneously. Should the water reservoir reach empty, a safety mechanism automatically shuts off the machine.
