I love this scale! I've been using it almost every day for the past two years, and haven't had any problems with it thus far. The battery hasn't even run out yet! It is a great size for using in the kitchen as it is lightweight and not bulky yet can easily fit a large bowl on it. It also works well for weighing letters and packages. I found it to be very accurate, within +/- 1g. I love that it won't automatically turn off until after 4 minutes, so it doesn't shut off while in the middle of a recipe. It's very easy to use, and at this price range, I don't think you could get any better!Customer Review: A good buy

I bought this scale after reading the great reviews on Amazon. It's nice to have the ounces and pounds/ounces options so you don't have to do the math. The one reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because when you turn it on, the scale has to read zero with nothing on it before you place a bowl on it and zero it out again. If you try to zero it with anything on it, an error message flashes on it. But as soon as you take the bowl off and zero it, then you can put the bowl back on and zero it to what you need- an easy but unnecessary extra step. I make soap, lotions and facial products. When I'm weighing items, I need precision. I had read very good reviews for this product. After owning this product for about 6 months, maybe using 30 times and 2 battery changes (just in case the batteries were bad), I can't get the scale to weigh reliably in .01oz increments. When I'm weighing items that are very light, I'll often get a jump in .04oz increments or no change at all. If you just needed this for everyday weighing, it would probably be sufficient, but for more precise measurements, I would use caution.Customer Review: Excellent and accurate compact digital scale

I purchased this scale mainly to use for measuring two part RTV urethane rubber and various epoxies. It can be switched between ounces and grams plus it has a tare function. That way I can put the mixing container on the platform, zero the scale and then pour a certain amount of "Part A". I can then zero the scale again and add in the same amount of "Part B", etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this scale is more accurate than I had expected given it's low price. I think it would be tough to find a scale that would give a better value.Customer Review: Awesome is the word for it

The reviewer who called this "awesome" got it right. I bought it in red to match our kitchen walls and tile, and it looks great. My old pre-digital scale was very compact, as is this one, but I needed a scale to go down to .1 oz (for homebrewing, among other kitchen adventures). I took some hop packets from the freezer and played with it -- seems accurate and works fast. The tare function is hugely valuable and the toggle between US and metric makes switching a breeze.
Really one of the best $25 investments I've ever made!
