I love this scale. It is *accurate*, easy to use, and easy to read. It's versatile and convenient.
~ I weigh postage to candy and baking ingredients.
~ Easy to switch from lbs. to grams, for comparison when adapting a foreign recipe to US standards.
~ It's lightweight so easy to move around and store.
~ There's an on/off button to save the battery.

I shopped for a couple months, checking and comparing top favorites (the $49 Oxo being #2). I am glad I finally chose this simple to use, inexpensive, accurate, Escali model.

I like the white color with light grey buttons. Accurate and works good. I now own 2 of these scales. My first unit I bought about 5 years ago is truly white, while this new scale is more like an off-white. The display numbers are a little smaller on the newer scale. Most of my food is weighed. You can put an empty bowl on the scale, press the button, and it will go to zero, and then you can add and weigh the food. You can choose to take the bowl off the scale and add the food to the bowl on the kitchen counter - the scale will show the weight of the bowl in the negative - then just put the bowl with food back on the scale to get the weight of the food.Customer Review: I'm sure it's functional, but...

I'm sure it's functional, but it looks rather ugly. Needing a kitchen scale, I made a quick and un-researched buying decision based on the strength of the reviews for this product. In particular, one of the first reviews I read was "the scales are very attractive," and so I hit buy without a second thought.
Upon receipt though, my take is that it's not terrible but it does look rather like something you'd pick up in Chinatown. Cheap plastic, cheap "chrome" paint, a flimsy feel and a proportionally small measuring surface. I've decided to return it for something a little prettier and a little more expensive.

I have had this scale for nine months now. It is a gem. It goes off automatically; so one less thing for me to remember. The digits are large enough to read easily without having to bend down. I have used it with equal success for weighing mail and food. It works so simply that a cursory read of the instructions is all that's needed. I like the way that you can subtract the weight of a container in which you weigh food so that only the weight of the food is displayed. I have decided to give this item as a gift since it worked so well for me. We have used the Escali Primo Digital Scale for well over a year now and have nothing but good things to say about it. We will likely replace it with the same model when it comes time to replace this one but there is no sign of this being needed anytime soon. Here are my observations:
+ Fairly Small Footprint
+ Very Accurate
+ Easy to Tare
+ 11lb Weight Capacity
+ Easy to Read Digital Display
This is a great scale for everyday use in the kitchen and we have also used it for our kid's science projects as well.
