I was a bit skeptical over whether or not we needed a kitchen scale at all, but my husband wanted one for his birthday, so I picked this one out for him on Amazon because of all the positive reviews. To my surprise, I found myself using the scale quite frequently for international recipes that call for ingredients in weight, and it performs beautifully. I've had excellent success with these recipes thanks to the scale- and I appreciate its light-weight, yet sturdy construction. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped the scale out of sheer clumsiness and yet it still works perfectly and accurately. It's also really easy to store out of the way on a shelf because it is so slim and lightweight. I love this scale and would totally buy it again or buy it as a gift for other cooking enthused friends. :)Customer Review: Cute & Practical

I bought the silver one to go with my stainless appliances. It is cute and compact. Love the fact that it uses Double A batteries, the most common one out there. And it comes with Energizers as your first set.
I found it to be very accurate and got the same results repeatedly. The tare function worked perfectly for me and it is very easy to use. Set bowl on scale, after it weighs, press tare, add banana, press tare, add apple, press tare, and so on. And you have a perfect serving of fruit salad!
It is accurate at very low weights and weighs up to 11 lbs, although I have yet to try anything that heavy. Seems durable and reliable. I would highly recommend it to everyone looking for an accurate, compact scale that's cute as well.

It works, but not that accurately. The gram's smallest unit is a single digit (no decimals). The ounce goes up to the first decimal.
I don't think it's an accurate scale. I put a container on it, tared it, and added mineral makeup gradually. After 2 tablespoons i still didn't get a reading (LCD stayed at 0 grams). So I took it off and the scale went to -8 grams. I tared it again and added mineral all at once, the scale registered the weight, but it doesn't seem accurate 'cause I keep getting differing weights.
It looks nice in the picture with the lighting but most of it is plastic. Since it does weigh occasionally I gave it a 3. It might be the standard quality for a scale this price, disappointing though.

I have been meaning to buy a digital scale for at home for the longest time. I'm in the food industry, and am use to the big nice scales and balance scale. So I have been debating on which one to get, with all the great reviews I figured this one would not disappoint. I enjoy the different color selection too. Works great, it's pretty small, but big enough to set a bowl on and be able to see the #'s, which I know some have issues with. Love the grams, ounces, or # and ounces option. Happy it goes up to 11#'s wish they had one just like it that would go up to 20, but it does the trick for my baking. Overall great product and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice small scale for at home.Customer Review: Multiple Uses For This Scale.

This scale has a 11 Lb capacity, and displays in: Ounces, Pounds/Ounces and Grams. You can even use the tare feature - which subtracts the container's weight to obtain the weight of its contents. It comes in several colors, I have it in white. Not only do I use it for measuring food, I also have weighed light packages on it before taking them to be shipped to get an idea of the postage that will be need. As you can see it has more functions than just kitchen use. Two AA batteries power this scale and has an auto shut-off to allow a longer battery life. It is so light and small for a scale it is easy to pack up and take with you if you so choose. It is a very good scale, especially for the price.
