Customer Review: Decent and Cheap Kitchen Scale

Not everything needs to be digital. No batteries to replace, digital readout to go wonky, etc. This scale has the little knob on the edge of the base to adjust to zero depending on whether you use the supplied bowl, your own plate, or nothing at all. I've had it more than a year now, and just put a pound of butter on it and lo and behold, it reads 1 pound. 2 pounds of butter showed 2 pounds, 3 pounds of butter showed a hair over 3 pounds. (and that hair over is probably the weight of the 3 packages encasing the 3 separate pounds.) Not bad for an inexpensive plastic digital scale. And for the heck of it, 2 sticks of butter registered at half a pound and 1 stick a shade under 1/4 pound.
I mainly use the scale for packaging large amounts of hamburger, veggies, etc, into smaller packages. I doubt it would be accurate enough for people who say, need a scale to measure small quantities for baking, but it's great for what I would call "non-delicate" measuring.
I thought it used to come in other interesting colors, too. Looks like black, white, red and clear/silver are what's available now. Easy to read numbers in pounds and kilograms. Up to 6.5 pounds/3 kgs. I definitely recommend it.
