Customer Review: It's Beautiful to Look at

This scale was given to me by someone who had purchased it on Amazon and was afterward unable to use the scale because there was no warning on the product page that this scale can affect pacemakers. So, minus one star for that, and all you folks out there with pacemakers be warned, this scale is not compatible with your lifesaving medical device.
That said, I did find this scale to be quite spiffy looking. Oh who am I kidding, it's gorgeous to look at. I'm not the least bit embarrassed to have it sitting out in my bathroom. The picture here at Amazon doesn't do it justice, it really is sleek and modern in appearance. It also provides estimates of body fat and water percentage, though I'm finding my body fat percentage is a little off because this machine seems to have some trouble telling it apart from muscle.
What I really took off the other point for, however, was a glitch that, if I'm being perfectly honest with myself, I find really entertaining. If you put this scale on a rug and weigh yourself, you will suddenly find yourself much lighter. Put the scale on a thick pile rug, and you'll wonder if maybe you have body dysphoria, the number is so low. Seriously, this thing only works properly on a flat, even surface. Change the surface and change your weight like magic! I do it when I want a laugh, but I cannot in good conscience rate this product without taking off another star for that, since some people might find it a serious problem.
