This spoon is absolutely wonderful and has quickly replaced the wood and plastic spoons that I had been using. Not only does it not melt or scorch when it sits in a hot pan, but it is well balanced. I was surprised at how large it is, but it's perfect for stir fries! I can't wait to add the smaller spoon to my collection.

The Epicurean Kitchen Series utensil line brings you the look and feel of traditional wood utensils but with all the same features as our cutting surfaces Each wood composite Epicurean utensil is shaped with the same select material used in all of Epicurean's renowned cutting surfaces. These surfaces are made up of layers of paper that are then soaked with a food safe resin and cured to create a solid sheet. During the production cycle the layers of paper are gradually bonded with each other to create solid, durable sheets. The new Epicurean Kitchen Series line of Utensils boast the same features as our cutting surfaces; nonporous wood based material that will not harbor bacteria, heat resistant to 350°F / 176°C, and of course, dishwasher safe. Offered in colors to match your existing cutting surfaces and in traditional utensil designs, the Epicurean Kitchen Series line of Utensils are a great addition to your cooking experience! Use this large natural colored spoon for all types of jobs in the kitchen: mixing, stirring and sauteing. The handle edges are rounded for comfort. The large spoon appears flat, but is actually beveled toward the center and around the edges for functionality. The large spoon measures 12-inch long by 3-inch wide by 1/4-inch thick.
