Sir Ian Sinclair, one of the first folks to make a consumer computer (he was none too successful) has a very good product here.

I originally bought one of these in the UK at The Conran Shop and use it often. When the power goes out, this little light is really useful. It is so small that you can leave it in a drawer or spot and just reach for it in the dark.

The thing has a lifespan that seems impossible - like 10 years.

If like me, you make sure that Amazon has something in the mail to you often, you have spent more money less wisely on other products.
