Customer Review: Very Easy - No Mess! My 5 year old can do it!

Well, yes, I can crack eggs. Been doing if for about 35 years now. My problem is I never have the perfect edge or surface to crack them on. I'm not a chef by any means and don't cook that much, so in general I probably only crack about 4 eggs a month. It seems that every time I crack an egg I always manage to get some of the egg white on my hands. Thus, I always have to wash my hands after cracking each egg as well as whatever I cracked it on. The final problem I always run into is after cracking the egg getting in the target (bowl, etc).
I saw this and thought it was a great idea. Yes, if you are an expert at this (and some of my "chef" friends can crack an egg in one hand without a mess) then you probably aren't even going to look at this product. But, if your like me and hate getting your hands messy when you crack open an egg this is great!
I bought this at one of the "As Seen on TV" stores in the mall. It worked on the first try! It really is as simple as it looks. Even my 5 year old daughter cracked an egg perfectly! Don't worry, I loaded it and made sure she was not near the blades. No messy hands!!
It is very light weight and has 2 very sharp blades at the bottom - thus I would not recommend children using it by themselves.
It is very simple to load. Gently put the egg in the holder, position it over the target (you can aim where you want the egg to go with exact precision) then squeeze the handle. You can squeeze as hard as you like - you cannot smash the egg. You don't need that much pressure because the blades are so sharp.
After cracking 3 eggs there were no egg shells and no mess!! It was great because I got the eggs exactly where I wanted them (in either side of the omelet maker).
I pushed the egg shell out into the sink without getting my hands all "eggy". After I cracked the 3 eggs, I rinsed it off (without touching it) and put it under my Steam'in Hot dispenser to clean it then laid it on my drying rack. DONE! It was so much faster AND cleaner than cracking the egg on the edge of a pan or bowl.
I would definitely recommend this!
