Customer Review: Salt Pig is a must for the busy kitchen chef

I bought my first salt pig last year, filled it with kosher sea salt and soon found it to be an essential item that I keep just above my chopping block. Then I had the idea of getting a second one for a second finer finishing sea salt and a third for ground pepper. They've worked so well that I've capped the set up with two more that I have for the bulk herbs I buy and use, mainly Oregano and Fennel. The reds are for the herbs, two white for the salt and the black for pepper. Ok, ok... I know it's rather extravagent for the average kitchen, so put it on your gift list, and others will buy them for you. One tip. I keep the opening covered when not in use with plastic wrap as dust will certainly drift into them otherwise.
