Customer Review: Beautiful and functional

When I bought this I thought it was a little pricey, but had such a difficult time finding an oil jar that was not glass so light wouldn't destroy my expensive olive oil. It's beautiful - the color is a rich warm red, and the glaze has a depth to the color that's difficult to explain. I leave it on the counter next to the stove and it's very attractive. The pouring mechanism is just right for sauteing - it has a nice flow but not too much. It'll take a while if you want to pour a lot of oil (more than 1/4 cup)-- it's easier to use a bottle in those cases. I'd give it 5 stars except the cork/spigot design isn't so great for refilling. The cork goes in the bottle really far and is hard to get out. I usually pull the spigot out of the cork and then use a pliers to get the cork out, which works but I'm afraid in time it will break the cork. Hopefully I'll be able to replace it if and when that happens. But even with this flaw, I'd buy it again.
