I made souffles for the first time last night and I LOVE these little things!! Just like all other EH products, they have a beautiful finish, quality, color and washed up like a breeze!!! Can't wait to make more things in them!! :-) Individual blueberry cobblers are on the menu tonight!! :-)
Description of Emile Henry Couleurs 6-Ounce Ramekins, Set of 4, CobaltIdeal for baking individual custards and soufflés, molding pâtés, and serving condiments, dips, sauces, candies, and nuts, these four 6-ounce ramekins are a traditional French shape with ribbed exteriors. They can go directly from freezer to oven, into the microwave, under the broiler, and through the dishwasher without harming their glossy, lead-free glaze, which does not absorb odors or moisture and is so hard it will not crack, discolor, or scratch--even if food is cut on it. They measure 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 1-7/8 inches high. Since 1850, Emile Henry cookware and bakeware have been made in Burgundy, where a unique clay is kiln-fired into a ceramic unsurpassed for conducting and retaining heat. Prized worldwide, Emile Henry products come in a wide range of colors, from the earth tones (with creamy interiors) of the rustic Le Potier line to the bright hues (with white interiors) of the Couleurs line, of which these all-white ramekins are gleaming examples. Each piece is stamped with the year it was made and the initials of the craftsman responsible for its perfection and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
