This is a very beautiful, quality pie pan. But it's sooooo big. Made a pumpkin pie using the usual can of filling, but it only filled half the pan. It also took much longer an usual to bake I really don't know why. I'll try other pies, like Apple and see it I have better results.

The natural clay is unsurpassed for conducting and retaining heat. Solid, durable and lead-free, our dishes retain heat to keep your foods warm. They are dishwasher safe, go directly from freezer to oven, and are chip, crack and scratch-resistant. The Emile Henry design features delightfully scalloped edges, reminiscent of the edge created when pie dough is fluted or crimped. Perfect for both sweet and savory pies.Strawberry rhubarb, coconut cream, chocolate meringue--everyone?s favorite pie deserves to be baked in this exceptional Emile Henry pie dish. Pure white on the inside and mossy green on the outside, the 9-inch baking dish with its fluted rim not only adds panache to the table but conducts and retains heat superbly, gently diffusing heat right into the center of the pie. Even after years of use, the glossy, translucent glaze won?t discolor, crackle, or show utensil marks. The underside is unglazed to reduce slippage. Amazingly versatile, the dish can go directly from the freezer to hot oven, and is safe for microwave, dishwasher, and even broiler, so that cheese toppings can bubble to perfection. The dish measures 2 inches deep and 10-1/4 inches in diameter across the outer edges of the rim.
