It was love at first sight for my red kitchen, but after only 3 years of just heating water and defrosting chicken it died. Looking back at the reviews, I should of seen it coming. I think microwaves should last much more than 3 years. I would never go back to an Emerson brand! Waste of money just for the looks.Customer Review: Totally nice and cute

I like this microwave and I really wanted a red one. But the cord on it is very, very short. I only have one outlet in my kitchen (annoying), and I would have liked to have known prior to buying it that the cord is about half as long as my old microwave. Works great when out of the box, but takes less only a few months to become only partially functionable...and a few months more, completely non-functionable.
So, within a year, you'll be buying a new microwave! Don't waste your time and money.
