Customer Review: The best pan I have ever owned!

Throughout my married life, I have owned and used non-stick cookware. After expanding my cooking knowledge through good cooking magazines and shows like "Emeril Live!", I came to see that there were some 'holes' in my kitchen supplies. I like to cook many dinners on top of the stove, and so I often sauté meats and make sauces. In order to make the finest-tasting sauce, you need the fond--bits of sautéed meat--that sticks to the bottom of the pan. When you sauté in a non-stick pan, there is no fond. I purchased the Emerilware 3 qt. stainless steel sauté pan after reading about the line. I also trust the All-Clad brand, and respect Emeril Lagasse. After using it several times, I have to say that this is the FINEST pan I have ever owned. It is a thing of beauty, it is heavy-sturdy, it cooks the foods beautifully, and it cleans easily. The handle stays cool during cooking, and the helper handle is a great aid for pouring out the cooked result. I really like the see-through glass lid, as well. I plan to buy more pieces in this line, for it is an excellent cookware investment that will last for many, many years.

A must-have for any cook's kitchen, the 3-quart Emeril stainless steel saute' pan features a tempered glass lid, a flared lip for easy pouring and cast stainless steel stick handle and helper handle. The triple-layer encapsulated base of stainless steel, aluminum and copper are bound together to ensure fast and even heat distribution. Beautiful and easy to clean stainless steel exterior and interior.Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse kicks it up another notch with this stainless-steel cookware collection, following the success of his nonstick collection. Bam! This straight-sided, 2-1/2-inch deep, 3-quart sauté pan is a lustrous example of the stainless-steel collection, which is made by renowned cookware manufacturer All-Clad. Its heavy-gauge, 18/10 stainless steel is polished to a mirror finish outside and blessed with a satin finish inside to conceal utensil marks. To distribute heat uniformly and maintain it, there's a thick aluminum disk on the bottom covered in stainless steel so the pan works on any stovetop, including induction. For elegance, the disk's edge is clad in copper.
Displaying Emeril's signature, the pan's cast-stainless-steel handles (stick and loop) are riveted for strength and have thumb rests. The stick handle has a hanging hole. Handles stay cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. The pan's lip flares to facilitate dripless pouring. Made of tempered glass, the lid allows cooking to be monitored without releasing heat. A stainless-steel band around the edge prevents chipping and ensures a tight fit. Although Emerilware Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. It carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
