I use this scale weekly. Purchased from Amazon 11 months ago & have not had to replace the batteries. The three things I like best are:
1. I can weigh in a pan, pot, bowl, plate or whatever(wax paper) as long as I can read the display.
2. I can tare before adding the 1st ingredient/serving & tare again before each addition.
3. It measures in G/Oz/Kg/Lbs and the unit of measure can be changed while weighing, or before adding next ingredient.
So, quick, convenient & accurate. Saves on dish washing too. A 5 star product!

I had another new scale from Amazon that never worked right. I returned it to Amazon.
Then I bought the EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale ( I wonder how much that mouthful weighs... ha ha)
But seriously, it's excellent! Tare works fine, and the scale is reliable and precise and attractive.

PS I had recently bought the bathroom scale from EatSmart, and was emboldened to order the kitchen scale. Both are excellent! And both are from AMAZON. Where else?

Small, but works! I needed a certain amount of marshmallows, and had a bunch of partial bags courtesy of my children. This scale was sensitive enough to tell when I added a single marshmallow! Very nice. The other reviews were very helpful deciding to purchase this particular scale. The plate is small, and I haven't tried weighing things on a big plate, but I'll be using it mostly for baking and weighing ingredients that would be in a bowl. The tare feature is very nice. The 11 lb capacity means that I can set my heavy glass bowl on it.Customer Review: Great value product

A great value product. Seems to be as claimed by all the good reviews.
The one caveat from being 5 stars is as some have mentioned the "feel" of the two buttons is not as crisp and high quality as would be nice and also the lack of a sealed enclosure to prevent spills and food from getting into the unit. Invest in a gallon size zip lock and put the unit in there to product in and you should be all set!
Oh and a great value for other 'non-food' items you may want to measure like ultra-light camping gear and such!

I do not pretend to know much about kitchen scales (...IS there much to be known about kitchen scales?) and this is only my second one, so that disclaimer aside...
This scale works great. It has multiple weight settings, seems sensitive and therefore seems as though it is quite accurate (though again, I have nothing to compare it to), it is lightweight, compact...everything a nice little kitchen scale should be. I have had it for a few months now and it has served me well. No complaints, it is a great product!
