Just like a ton (ha ha) of other Americans, my wife & I made New Year's resolutions to lose weight. This scale really helps with portion control, the ease of use keeps it from just taking up space on the countertop. My wife is "technologically challenged", but she loves this unit. Just a tap of the button to zero it, and the fact that you can add an item, zero, add another, etc. makes it vey easy to use. Also, the units conversion is great, many recipes are given in english units, while a lot of dietary meaurements are metric. Again, just push the button. I love my new scale! When I received it, I was disappointed because there was a problem with the way it was working. I sent an email to the company (on a Sunday) and within 30 minutes had a response (from a VP no less). He sent out a replacement the next day and that one works perfectly. So not only is this a great product, but there is somebody that stands behind the product and their focus is on great customer service. Based on my experience, I know this company will continue to grow and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a versatile kitchen/yarn scale to buy this one.Customer Review: Saving time in the kitchen

Normally I'd wait several weeks before submitting a product
review. But since many other reviers agree with my impression
of this scale and the its retailer, I'd like you to know I'm
pretty well pleased.
Service from the retailer was great and I received the scale
quickly and it arrived with no shipping damage.
The scale itself, except for less than an ounce weights,
performs great for a low cost scale. Under an ounce and
it has a slight problem with stability.
For the price, you can't go wrong.

I owned a bakery for 30 years and used a bakery scale for recipes. Still have some recipes in lbs and ozs. Used this scale to make wedding cake for my son. Came out perfect. Love the tare button. Very exact. Two of my friends are ordering this scale. Also like the calorie counter so you know how many calories each food contains. Give it a five star thumbs up. Also love the fact that it shuts off after a few minutes of not being used. The double A batteries are also great, always have them on hand.

I had a cheap mechanical food scale and decided it was time to take the plunge and get a decent one. I did some research and this one was ranked second and only 2/3 the price of the number one.
After using it for the past two weeks I'm impressed. The best feature is the "tare weight". If you have a plate or bowl on the scale when you turn it on it will zero out. So you don't have to worry about resetting it to weigh just the ingredients. The scale does it for you.
I wholeheartedly recommend this scale. And the service from Amazon was great.
