I ordered the eatsmart precision pro after reading other reviews. I'm glad I did. It's quite small, but amazngly accurate and convenient. In order to read the scale when I use a large bowl, I simply put the box the scale came in on the scale and zero the scale, That raises the bowl so that the scale is perfectly easy to read. It's a wonderful and wonderfully convenient scale. I couldn't ask for anything better. For the last few years I've been using a balance scale with weights that were is light as 1 gram. I don't need it anymore. It also arrived in perfect condition on the day they said it would.Customer Review: Not just great for the kitchen

This scale is easy to use, and quite accurate. I like the fact that in remembers the last unit of measurment used.
I originally purchased this as a "kitchen scale" for my wife, and have discovered its ease of use, for other things around the house.
In the spring, I plan on purchasing another, to use in my basement workshop. It will also be used to measure garden chemicals that I can now buy in bulk. That alone will pay for itself.EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale, White

Heartbroken when my 30 year old scale that I loved broke, I turned to Amazon with my heart in my mouth. This scale sounded too good to be true. And now I'm loving a scale again! Weighs items up to twelve pounds, by grams, ounces, and pounds. Weighs ounces to nearest .05 ounce. AND it has a tare function, too. I haven't mentioned that it is beautiful to look at and makes a small footprint in the kitchen. The scale is accurate, easy to use and inexpensive. The book of factors for foods lets me for the first time quickly calculate total calories eaten each day and the correct size of servings which are essential for anyone trying to lose weight.
What is missing is the "optimal" percentage of calories from fats, proteins and carbohydrates for diets designed to lose, maintain or gain weight.
Obesity is America's worst epidemic and your device and list of food factors for determining calories eaten are vital tools.

I found this scale to be very easy to use and the small footprint and clean design makes it easy to keep out on the counter. The book that comes with it is very handy for looking up calories by weight. The tare button lets you easily weigh each item as you add to your plate.
I use this scale along with [...] and I have found that just by weighing my food I can stay on my diet much better.
The only problem I have with this unit is when you try to clean it if you get water on the buttons and display the unit will stop working until it dries out.
