The Easy Pull Can Crushing System with Collection Bin is not only fast and efficient, it is fun. Now when the kids visit (which is when we have the most empty drink cans), they want to crush their own. And as soon as they do, it is nicely deposited in the bin. The bin holds more than you would think. We don't have to empy it often and when we do, we collect them to a larger bag for Habitat for Humanity - wished everyone did this!
Also, a footnote, after approx 1-1/2 years, my can crusher stopped gliding on the metal glides. I loved it enough to want to get another so I placed my 2nd order with the same company I bought the first one from. I also asked what I could do to prevent this from happening. The sales company provided the Easy Pull Products Mfg. Co. telephone number. I called and he said there was a defect in the first ones manufactured (one that I had orig. purchased), so he sent me a new one free. I was shocked. This company was great!!! He said to apply just a touch on vasoline on the glides every 2-3 yrs.

My husband and I bought this product a couple years ago as a way to consolidate aluminum cans before we recycled them. It is still working in great condition. Although I was not sure about the handle (everything is plastic) it has held up well and shows no signs of wear. The collection bin easily slides in and out at the bottom of the crushing system. The plastic makes it easy to clean.
One thing I would recommend is making sure it is installed into a wall stud. My husband mounted a piece of wood to two wall studs then mounted the can crusher to the piece of wood. It is quite solid this way. It doesn't take up a lot of space. We have it mounted in a stairway from our kitchen to the basement and it works perfectly there. The best part about this system is that you not only have a sturdy mechanism to crush the cans, but also a way to collect them!
I would highly recommend this product!

Wish I had found this before. I have tried many systems for crushing cans but this one is absolutely the best, hands down. It takes so little effort and it is self-contained. I can actually have this one in the house and not have a mess. We have been recycling cans for years and would have a pile of bags of cans (I mean a hugh pile!) to take to the recycling center every 6 months or so. We would fill a bag in less than a week but with this it crushed the cans so neatly it took a month to fill one bag! Yes, it is expensive. But, this is so easy to pull and has a removal catcher bin. Its well built to last forever almost. I highly recommend. Everyone who has used mine wants one now. I recycle all aluminum cans now. The only single con is that it won't accept large cans (16 oz.) but the can be twisted in the middle and then they fit, just a little more trouble. Other than that, you can't go wrong and the others I read the reviews for seemed to be cheapo crap not worth the money spent. Buy this one if you want a keeper that works and a 3 year old can operate.Customer Review: Excellent design that needs a last tweak.

The Easy Pull Can Crushing System is very well made and works exactly as discribed. The improvement needed is a better way to attach a plastic bag at the bottom. A family with a light to medium consumption rate of canned soda will fill the Collection Bin several times a day. This would require many trips to the garage. The much larger recepticle offered is good for an Institutional setting, but a family....?
