Customer Review: Makes Vacuuming a DELIGHT!

I just bought this vacuum for "my"....."our" Christmas gift for this year and couldn't stand it, opened it, read everything, and put parts on on it. I then turned
it on. What I experienced (with my mouth hanging open) was the most wonderful experience I have ever had in vacuuming.
We rent. It's a nice home. Two story. The carpet is not new, but I vacuumed it with my heavy duty Eureka and thought the carpet looked clean. That vacuum bit the dust on me for various reasons and we had to invest in a new vacuum. I sincerely thought of just getting another Eureka for a great low price, and when it runs dead, buy another etc.
NEVER again. I can't say enough about THIS DC17 Dyson Animal vacuum. Just going over the carpet that I THOUGHT looked clean, I filled up the canister.....what amazed me was the DIRT it picked up! Fine DIRT. It also of course had the fuzzy dust that my other vacuum always picked up, but there was a definite layer of FINE DIRT. Stuff that had wiggled itself WAaaayyyy down into the carpet itself. I was AMAZED! Not only that...it almost pushed itself! It is so EASY to operate!! When you stopped for a moment, the vacuum does this thing, where it automatically stops the bar from rotating and a small whoosh sound comes out, then when you start to push it again, it just zooms.
To lean the vacuum back from the upright position, you simply touch your foot to either side of the vacuum and put pressure on it, while pulling backward. The vacuum "head" then does this little manuever where it sort of crunches up keeping the beating bar close down to the carpet, if you go over onto non-carpeted flooring, it just hugs to the next level. ITS AMAZING.
You will NEVER EVER be sorry for purchasing this Vacuum. I am 64 yrs. old and it makes vacuuming a DELIGHT. Totally. So easy to operate and I haven't even BEGUN to go on and on about all of the WONDERFUL tools it has, the EASY EASY way it empty's!
You don't have to buy filters, EVER. Just twice a year rinse out under running tap water the filter, and let it dry fully for 24 hrs. THATS IT! It's brand new again!
Someone stated that it started picking up carpet fibers from their carpet and it was negative. Sorry bout that, but if it did that I'd call the carpet manufacturer about poor quality carpet, there is NOTHING wrong with this vacuum! (or get new carpet but don't blame the vacuum!)
SAVE your money if you have to, but don't miss out on this vacuum because it is amazing! (does stairs like magic!....and as I said, the tools ARE AMAZING.)
