I previously had the Toastess Peculator coffee pot, however they no longer make it. I have purchased Dualit products before and have always found them to be of superior quality. This product is no exception. I love the size of it, the look of it, but most important the taste of the coffee. I read all the review and thought that since this one was made in England, it had to be better. NOT TRUE ... First, it keeps coffee almost at a boil ... so as soon as coffee was done, I upluged it. Second, there were always grinds in the coffee. Third, the pot started leaking from the base after two weeks of use. Totally a bad unit.Customer Review: Dualit Axis - A dangerous product?

This percolator makes a great pot of coffee. Trouble is, it doesn't stop boiling the coffee after it finishes percolating. Its warm cycle is too robust - makes me think the one I bought is defective or just not completely compatible with 110 current.Customer Review: Great product !

I have owned this pot for at least 4 years, and hands down it makes the best coffee Iv'e ever had. My husband and I cannot even drink drip coffee anymore, because the taste is so watery and bland, and sour compared to this pots wonderful coffee.
