My husband and I were recalling the days when our mothers used to make perc coffee on the stove so decided to buy this. Overall we have been very happy with it - it is very easy to use and easy to clean and we particularly like the green light that turns on to let you know it is ready. Our only complaint is that because the pot is not insulated at all the coffee does not stay hot and it specifically tells you to remove it from the base once it is done. if we want to enjoy the coffee over a longer period of time we have to pour it into a thermal carafe but I'd still recommend it.
