I'm really pleased with this item. When the smoke is coming out correctly, it looks really neat. The only problems are with where the incense goes into the holder. If it is not in correctly, or the stick is too long, it will hit the top of the head when it is put on. So I have to cut part of the stick, and adjust it until it is just right.
I would have rather seen hols in the side of the head where the teeth are so it looks like the smoke is coming out of the nose, and then the mouth, but how it is I am fine with.
Good item if you don't mind a few minor discrepancies!

It is heavier than I thought, greener than the image except under bright light, and very nice to use.
I use my own incense, not the sticks that came with it, so I can't comment on them.
It is sturdy, and looks safe. I got this because it looks great, but also because of safety. I don't want to risk the incense catching anything on fire. It seems to be a good choice.
The image here doesn't show it, but it doesn't look "cute", it has teeth and glaring eyes.

What I like about this burner is that, if I want to, I can paint it a different color (it is more green than it appears in the Amazon photo), and I can plug the holes in the head so the smoke only comes out of its nostrils. This is so much better than those wooden burners. However, the incense stick must be shortened so it fits inside this. Also, it has a holder for cones.Customer Review: Excellent burner

This is one of the coolest burners I've ever had. Substantial, won't fall over, safe because of the "lid" - color wasn't green as others have mentioned. If you think yours is faulty, I suggest you try some quality incense - you may have to pinch off the wooden end to make it fit - no big deal. I love seeing smoke come out of all the portals. Well made and detailed! Shipped fast and was packed well. Works great, no problems at all!! Smoke comes out the nostrils and looks awesome! Holds the incense perfect and breaths nicely. Holds the sent for ever as well, you can go in our music room a couple of days later and it still smells great!! Its a real eye chatcher! And it fit all types of incense.
