I have prettier, bigger, and more expenseive wine openers but none of them match this Pulltap for being easy to use. The two stage design for removing the cork is genius. I've never broken a cork or struggled to break loose a particularly tough cork when using this Pulltap.
I hate to part with some of my fancy (and expensive) corkscrews, but the truth is that when I want to open wine easily and quickly... this is the tool I go to every time.
I give this one my highest recommentation.

I was deciding between this corkscrew and another on Amazon for around $13. I wish I had bought the $13 one. This one isn't bad and I use it. The foil knife is lousy... I sharpened it which makes it better but not as good as others I've used. Also the screw has some sort of black finish that is not as slick as bare steel... the finish on screw makes removing the cork a bit tougher than it should be. The hinge system works great. By the way, I have no idea if the $13 corkscrew works any better so beware.Customer Review: Almost 5 Stars

Everything about this corkscrew is awesome except one thing, but if you're careful it is okay too:
When snapping the screw part back into the body of the corkscrew, the sharp tip has nicked my finger several times. I have learned how to avoid it, but it can draw blood!
Otherwise, I love the double-hinged action and have not found a cork that this corkscrew can't handle!
It is a tough, rugged tool that has a good finish and appearance in the bar.

I got this corkscrew for my wife as she opens a bottle of wine now and again. She has been having problems lately with the corks falling apart when she uses our tried and true gull wing cork screw. In her words "My new cork screw is the BEST! The screw went into the cork like butter, and the double pulley outtey thingey worked so smoothly and easily. Love it!" The only negative is that it came without instructions, which we found on-line. And do shop around for the best price.Customer Review: Best in show

I dont honestly know where I first found mine, but I fell in love with it immediately. You never have to struggle with the cork. My parents recently discovered a love for wine and as a gift I was going to get them one of these. Well to my suprise, there is not a single shop in a 100 mile radius that carries this. Everyone still uses the one step approach or worse yet, the auger approach. Five stars all the way.
