Customer Review: Not Elegant -- but Better Than Nothing

I guess I should have looked at this a little more closely before ordering it. It's just a round fan in a quarter-circle/triangular plastic box with mounting holes.
Airflow seems to suffer from turbulence and/or backdraft in its oddly-shaped enclosure. A baffle or shroud that encompasses the fan blades would probably make it more efficient. The grille isn't aerodynamically designed either; it's too restrictive, featuring a sizable "EntreeAir" logo plate on BOTH SIDES, in just about the worst possible location.
Also, this fan really needs a reverse switch. Lacking one, that pretty much determines which side of the door frame you can mount it on without the cord hanging in the way.
I wanted to warm my kitchen with the air from our adjacent family room. Our kitchen is roughly 1500 cubic feet. This thing is supposed to move 100 cfpm. I thought a complete change of air every 15 minutes would do the job. Think again...
Others have complained about it being noisy. The blower in my fireplace insert is much worse, so I don't find the additional background all that objectionable. If I was heating the adjacent room with electricity or gas then it might be more of a problem.
Anyway, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because my expectations were unrealistic.
