Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Delonghi RT400 4-Slice Retro ToasterCustomer Review: I love this toaster! Summary: 5 Stars
We needed a larger toaster and this one is PERFECT! It looks great, it has space for four slices of toast or waffles or bagels or whatever, and it toasts PERFECTLY!!! It has two features that I really love, one is for frozen breads, it somehow knows to defrost them and then toast them, and the other is a "bagel" setting which toasts only one side of the item your place in the slots!
It's easy to clean with two little crumb trays that come out of the sides.
It looks cool, it works great, the price wasn't bad... what a great buy!!!!!!
Customer Review: Average performance, large footprint. Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased this toaster for it's retro styling. It's feel is rather cheap, it's performance is uneven and it's quite the spacehog. Previously had a Krups with two elongated slots ... so it could handle four standard slices or two long slices (like the incredible sliced Calandra my household loves). I should have stuck with the Krups until another two slot four slice came along. I'm back in the market again.
Customer Review: Cool toaster Summary: 4 Stars
I just refinished my kitchen with all stainless steel appliances and needed to buy new small electrics (coffee maker, toaster, etc.). The brushed metallic finish doesn't look like stainless steel or match it exactly. However, it is fairly similar and the retro style is very cool. It works great, except English muffins are hard to get out. It's a lot cheaper than the Dualit, but still looks expensive.
Customer Review: Not worth the money Summary: 1 Stars
I was given this toaster as a gift last Dec. Now 8 months later I am throwing it away. One side does not pop up and burns and the other has to be at the darkest setting and cooked twice to give it any color. When I contacted DeLonghi I was told their warranty was for 1 year but could not help me without a receipt. So buyer beware keep your receipt you are going to need it.
Customer Review: Nice toaster, but don't buy it from Final Auction Summary: 4 Stars
I was trying to save a little money, so I bought the refurbished item from Final Auction. ... When I received the item, the toaster has a minor defect. The toast does not come all the way up. Final Auction made the returning process hard and long. Other than don't buy from Final Auction, this is a very cute and stylish toaster for your kitchen.
