Customer Review: Wow - strawberries still good after a week!

These are amazing. I never would have thought something like this would work. At Christmas a friend said they did work - so I gave them a try. Everything lasts much longer which is great for a single person buying produce! Herbs, cilantro, mint and rosemary have lasted a week and still look great. I put strawberries in the plastic container they came in right into a bag - still fresh after a week. A few are getting soft, but no mold!!
I'm not sure why others have had problems. Maybe some batches of bags were bad? I pat dry my herbs, but otherwise do not dry things off. My bananas build up a little moisture. I let the bag air-out while I make breakfast and close before going to work - 1 week and good bananas.
I highly recommend these.

Sometimes you think these are just gimmics. The Debbie Meyer green bags save me money because as a Single Person I am always throwing out veggies, or fruits that I only use a portion of for myself. No more! My usual purchases include tomatoes, lettuce (all types), spinach, celery, pears, apples and onions. Now with these little green bags I am able to use UP my fruits and veggies because I have a way to store and keep the portions without them getting all slimey, moldy. Something about the way our fruits and veggies are harvested and transported today causes them to go Bad very Quick I can hardly get them home. These little green bags work wonders! We receive veggies through Community Supported Agriculture and really need a way to streeeeetch their life since it's just me and my bf eating them (we get about eight different veggies each week). I think these bags are making a difference as compared to the regular grocery store storage bags we had been using. The greens are crisp and fresh even a week after we receive them. I still wipe out moisture every few days. Only four stars because cleaning out plastic bags for reuse is a pain. But at this price, I do want to reuse them as much as we can - supposedly the benefits will last for about 10 uses? I would buy, again. I haven't used for fruits because we don't get mass quantities from CSA + we eat our fruits within a week, before they spoil.Customer Review: The Worst Product Of The Year... Maybe Decade...

I bought this bags to try them. Some people say yes, they work; and some others say no, they don't work. The only reason that I bought the bags was because of a person's review here that claims to sell vegetables, and the bags reduce waste. Well, I sell vegetable too. I had limes outside the bags and in the bags. The limes outside the bags lasted longer than the ones in the green bags. The tomatoes.... my poor tomatoes..... the bags didn't give my tomatoes one day extra in life time. I tried with Jalapeños, Green and red tomatoes, limes, avocado, cilantro... Oh... that's right... The cilantro got black in 2 days. No good. garbage product. Don't waste your money. These bags shortened the life of my vegetables.my greensCustomer Review: I love these bags

I have really found these bags to be great... some foods are better than others, but peppers, cucumbers,grapes,zucchini,spinach,lettuce all keep perfectly in the fridge. My banana's ripen slower than on the counter which is good and i have experienced that "ripe" inside when they still look good on the outside but I can live with that. I agree that you need to wipe the inside of the bags to keep moisture down, but that is a small price to pay for longer lasting foods. Especially in these days when everything is so expensive and gas so high, I love being able to stock up on sale items and then have them ready to eat in the fridge. I find that you need to start with good quality foods to have a good result but I am sold on these bags.
