Summary: 4 Stars So far, the machine has been great for making basic espresso. It probably won't satisfy hardcore coffee lovers or people who are into cappuchino, but for someone who want's a double or two a couple of times a week, it's been great. The distance between the discharge and the platform really could have stood another 1/ 2 to 1 inch of height. The cups I use are 2 5/ 8"/ 70mm tall, and they _barely_ fit. While I don't use the steam wand much, if I don't hang it over the edge of the sink, getting the milk pitcher under it is not gonna happen. (Since I use it rarely, and my coffee stuff all lives just to the right of the sink, it's not as huge an issue as it could be...) It's nice that it was made to be compact, but I think another inch of height between the working parts and the counter would have made a world of difference. I've gotten the knack of using the built in tamper, but buying a proper hand tamper really looks like the way to go.
