I am happy to say this company listened to the consumer. They have fixed the caraffe that dripped so badly. This coffee pot is great! My original coffee pot was purchased for me 6 years ago. The heating element finally went out. I purchased a less expensive one and hated it. I bought a new one of these and discovered that DeLonghi listened. On the steamer side I heat my water to use as steam for hot cocoa or a latte and can use it as I need to. It does not drip out as the water does in cheaper models. This is one product that you definitely get what you pay for. I can say 6 months of the local coffee shop costs will be saved if you buy this and use it at home.Customer Review: What I like and dislike about the Delonghi

It makes great tasting coffee, I no longer go to Starbucks $$$. I like hot coffee, and the machine does well maintaining it. I have not tried the cappicino nor espresso features yet. The "how to use" instructions are clear. I like the price of the machine. I like the strong to less strong coffee feature (dial): I use less coffee grinds than I used with my old percolator. I dislike the thin plastic construction (a plastic pin) and the swing away part that holds the filter and grinds. It feels very fragile. My husband has difficulty pouring the coffee from the pot into a cup without making a small mess. All and all I feel it is a good value for the money.Customer Review: Attractive price, Below par quality

While this coffee pot worked, it worked great. It brewed very good coffee and the espresso functions worked very nicely. After about 6 months water started leaking slowly from the top while brewing. The "Strength Selector" also stopped functioning properly - setting it to strong would still result in adding clear water to the pot, compromising the quality of the brew. Eventually this minor leak progressed to about a quarter to a third cup of water per pot of coffee. Eventually the burner also developed a short (likely a result of the leak). This pot is a very good integration of coffee and expresso functions. I only wish it would have lasted longer.Customer Review: Dont Buy

I bought this product about a month ago because I really enjoy coffee and I thought an espresso/cappuccino maker [...] isnt bad. when I received it in the mail I was really excited. About a week later was the first time that I actually had time to use it. The espresso part of the machine didnt work. The knobs to adjust the how strong of coffee you want didnt turn. It just looks nice in my kitchen. So basically I paid [...] for just a regular coffee maker. It doesn't have a timer on it so when you wake up in the morning the coffee is already ready. It doesn't have anything special about it. This was really a waste of money.Customer Review: Don't waste your $$$

This thing is awful, we asked for a coffee, espresso, cappucino etc. machine for Christmas last year, so my grandparents gave us $100 to purchase on because they didn't know which one to get. We didn't do research and thought Delonghi was a great brand, well needless to say we unfortunately blew our 100 on this piece of crap. The directions are SO complicated, we were never able to froth milk or anything all we could do was make a leaky pot of coffee! I wouldn't pay a dime for this thing, it's bulky and junky, splurge if you really want a multi-task coffee maker, just don't go with Delonghi!!!
