All of the knives in the set are 100% forged from a single piece of highest quality high carbon stainless steel. The black polymer handles are ergonomically designed and accented with signature DBK rivets. Daniel Boulud is a New York based chef who combines the best of traditional European cooking with the freshest of American ingredients. Growing up on his family's farm near Lyon France he was inspired by his grandmothers cooking, and by 13 he knew he wanted to become a professional chef. His renowned restaurants in New York City include Daniel, a four star eatery on Park Avenue named one of the ten best resturants in the world.
