I was looking for a lidded non-BPA, non-metal, reusable alternative to the foam cups and plastic lids that my office stocks beside the coffeemaker. "I Am Not A Paper Cup" is just that, and a mild conversation piece in the bargain. I enjoyed mine for the last few months, but have a couple cautions for potential buyers.
1. The porcelain part cleans easily and completely, but the silicon lid stains permanently with coffee. The underside of the lid becomes alarmingly stained but isn't normally seen. The top right around the opening gets a little stained too. Frequent and thorough cleaning helps a bit. Whether or not this bothers you is a personal item. An alternative is to buy the separate set of lids that includes a black one. I don't know if it matters, but I take my coffee black and drink two cups per workday.
2. I no longer have my cup because last week it was thrown out by custodial staff doing an after-hours sweep of used foam cups in the office. It's just plain gone. Sigh. I haven't decided if I should get replacement.

This is a great design. Being porcelain, the cup is obviously very solid and sturdy - so no worries about a plastic cup deforming or crumpling when you pick it up. Being insulated, it stays pretty cool to the touch on the outside - which is more than I can say for the paper cups that I've used.
The lid is outstanding and forms a solid seal with the cup. I bought this because the paper cups that I'd buy leaked coffee onto my shirt, but this product hasn't leaked once. I also bought it because I like the idea of reusing it and not throwing away paper cups.
I took one star away for a couple of minor things. First, I do wish that it held more liquid. Because of the insulated design and shape of the inner liner, it holds less than the outer size might make you think. Second, I wish that the lid had a raised feature around the drinking hole because liquid will stay on the lid there after a drink if I'm not real careful, and that liquid could dribble down the side. Even with those two minor things, I'm very happy with this product.

I received this mug as a Christmas present after I added it to my wish list. I use travel mugs almost daily, but was looking for one that was dishwasher-safe. I was drawn to the minimalist design of this one and liked that it was easy to clean. Unfortunately, the lid leaks at the most inopportune times, leaving a trail of coffee, and coffee stains, to ruin the clean, smooth exterior. It can be quite messy, and at times, I have found it to dribble down the front of my chin and onto my shirt.
Additionally, it holds approximately 8-10 oz of your favorite warm beverage. Had I known the carrying capacity was relatively small compared to my other travel mugs, I probably would not have wished for it. While the cup should be well insulated due to the double wall porcelain, I do not find it keeps my beverage warm for very long.
I have read that some users note their lid does not have an airflow hole in it. Mine does. Perhaps this is why it leaks?
In any case, I would recommend this product only for its form. The function just isn't there.

This cup is fantastic! 10 ounce size is exactly what I SHOULD be drinking (I used to drink a 35 oz cup of coffee at a sitting, insane). The lid is secure and does a good job letting coffee out of the drink... hole.
Okay, not a great review, but listen! This cup has a hidden feature I had not previously seen discussed... you can blow the minds of your friends and coworkers!
This cup looks EXACTLY like a paper coffee shop cup. It does not resemble, it perfects. On my second day of ownership, I found a great use of this quality. Simply walk up to friends desk; take a sip, chat a moment, then set the cup on their desk. I guarantee, the cup will make a heavy, ceramic clunk.
Now the fun begins. Look at your friend's face. Enjoy as they stare at your cup in wonder, baffled at how a paper cup could make such a noise. They will look at you, they will look to the cup, and they will look back at you. They will need answers, and you should be happy to share!

I just bought my I'm Not A Paper Cup cup just last night and couldn't wait to use it! (BTW, I got mine at Marshall's for only $9.99) As I write this review, while hoovering over the keyboard without a worry of seepage, I am enjoying my coffee straight out of this mug with the lid on. Here's the trick: you must make sure the rim of the mug is DRY before putting on the lid! Just do a quick wipe with a kitchen towel. As an added precaution, also make sure the lid underneath is dry as well. If either of these are wet, you will not form the needed seal to prevent drips. I just happen to stumble on this fix after a little research of my own regarding various kinds of silicone lids unrelated to this mug (i.e. the silicone lids that fit on glass Pyrex bowls). If your are having leaks, why not give it a try and let us know how it works for you.
So far, I am delighted with my mug and can't wait to show it off and say, "This is NOT a paper cup!"
