Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of DCI I Am Not a Paper Cup 12-Ounce Porcelain Travel Cup with LidCustomer Review: A fun cup Summary: 5 Stars
When I bought this cup I read all the reviews of it and it's competition. I was nervous about purchasing a ceramic cup that looked so fragile. But after using this for several months I am pleasantly suprised. I purchased the I am not a plastic lid to go with it so I would have back up lids. I have not needed them! So far, this cup is durable and does not leak. It also keep my coffee hot for a lot longer than my other mugs. I recommend this cup. If for some reason your cup leaks then I would contact the company, it may just be a defective cup. The only thing I would say bad about it is the silicon lid has a strong odor for awhile but after time that goes away.
Customer Review: so pretty, so dissapointing Summary: 3 Stars
This cup is beautiful. I wanted one forever, and finally got it last week. It's so pretty! I am the envy of everyone who sees it. I leave this at work so that i always have a mug here to refill, and I look forward to seeing it everyday. I am easily amused.
This cup has had no issues with satins, but I've been careful to wash it after use.
My lid has a little hole for air in it, unlike what some other reviewers have mentioned. However, it also leaks.
I've been dribbling on myself for days, and I'm really very disappointed. I might buy new lids, but it hardly seems that i should have to go that route for a $20 coffee cup.
Customer Review: Have it love it Summary: 4 Stars
I have this mug and do love it. I actually broke my first one but, (you really shouldn't set it on top of your car)I like it so much that I got a second (and probably a third after I break my current one). Both I have owned were fine, no leakage, the top does stain a little but I have not noticed any odor. The lack of the hole on the lid isn't an issue, it flexes enough to get your sip. If I could get this lid in a size to fit my regular coffee mug I'd get that too.
It is a beautiful cup.
The only reason it is a 4 instead of 5 is it's capacity, 8oz is just to small for the morning drive (but I have been trying to cut back anyways).
Customer Review: It Leaks!!! Summary: 1 Stars
I thought this was a great thing, I really did. And was pretty excited about it.
I had two major complaints:
First, the lid doesn't make the coffee taste good, I usually just took it off when I reached my destination.
Second, and more importantly, it leaked like crazy, not just a slow drip, but at times a steady stream of coffee down the side. I wrestled with it, and tried to not fill it so near to the top... but still no avail. So I thought, just a bad cup right? I bought another one in hopes that this one works fine, and no... it leaked all the same.
So, now I have two cups, mostly useless for what they were designed for.
Customer Review: Just what I was looking for! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this cup and I plan to buy a 2-pack next time. No more wasting my money on bottled water at work. It keeps my drink cold even on a really hot day on the back deck, it doesn't leak, and it doesn't sweat all over the place. There are no flip top spouts or nasty straws that never quite come clean like a lot of the other bottles and cups I tried for work, and no screw on lids that are a pain in the neck. I hear the white lid can become stained, but the directions said that cleaning it with a little toothpaste or boiling it in water with some lemon juice does the trick. If not, who cares. I bought an extra lid that is black for tea and coffee drinking.
