Customer Review: Very Useful--A Must Have For Rowdy Dogs

I deal with happy, rowdy rescue dogs who are either un-trained or are trained but get too rough at times. Examples are jumping on furniture, barking at the mail man, and getting too worked up when playing with each other. I also occasionally am approached by an un-known, overly curious dog that I don't want to deal with when walking my own. The Dazer is perfect for this. It emits a high pitch sound that dogs don't like. It gets their attention and/or makes them stop what they're doing and move away from you. If used consistently, it is very effective as an attention getter. Do NOT use this if you are happy with a behavior or as a positive reenforcement. And it will NOT protect you in a seriously dangerous situation, such as in the presence of a wild pack of dogs (only a gun will do that). But it might buy you a couple of seconds of precious time as they figure out where that sound is coming from.
Again, a Dazer is an attention-getter. It causes dogs to stop or pause when they hear the sound. It is only effective when used at a distance of 5 feet or greater. I wish every mail man would buy one of these. It would make a great Christmas Gift for your mail man possibly?

My neighbor recently acquired a small dog that would bark frequently and for extended periods when left home alone. When asked to do something about the noise, the neighbor insisted I must be mistaken since the dog is quiet when its owners are present. (Flawless logic.) Since the apartment manager was unwilling to do anything about the problem, I researched alternatives. The Dazer was suggested as a possible option since it can be used to train a dog not to bark, but doesn't hurt it; the device simply annoys the dog to much the same degree that the dog annoys me.
There was some question as to whether the device would work through the wall, but the walls here are not very sound-proof, which was a big part of the problem in the first place. I immediately found that the dog would quickly become quiet when I used the Dazer as suggested. Over a period of a couple weeks, I was able to train it to maintain a very welcome silence (except when someone comes right up and knocks on their door, but I figure it has a right to bark at that). The best part is that humans can't hear the Dazer in operation, so no one knows I was doing this except me. I'm very pleased with the results.

I purchased this because of my neighbors dog constant barking. The main barker was a full bull mastiff. She was a puppy, about 11 months old and a good 110lbs and growing daily. She just barks for no reason and it's loud and very annoying. I spoke to the neighbor and they purchased a bark collar for her. It never worked and I always thought they just weren't doing it right.
So I bought the dog daser in hopes I could train her myself. The first time I used it, she looked around to see what it was and went crazy barking because she couldn't figure it out. Then after using it a few more times she would just ignore it (or isn't hearing it right)
I even stuck it right up to her forehead and she just looked at me like...what on earth are you doing? Can I eat that?? lol
I did use it on another dog (yellow lab) on the other side neighbor. She tilted her head trying to figure out what the noise was and ran away.
I did notice that every time I hit the button, my own cats would come to me. Very strange.
I can't really say if it works because it just didn't work for me. For me it was a waste of money.

A family friend to me about this product after seeing how miserable my backyard was because of my neighbors dog. It has barked non-stop for the last 4 years. I was EXTREMELY skeptical of this product and didn't believe that it would work. I ended up purchasing it more as a novelty than actually thinking that it would solve the problem.
Well lowe and behold THE THING WORKS! Seriously...if they asked me to be on an infomercial for this product I would absolutely do it! Once I took it out of the packaging I walked out into my backyard. As normal, I hadn't even gotten the door open before the dog began barking at the top of its lungs. I walked over to the fence and pressed the button for two seconds. I could see between the fence and I literally saw the dog tuck its tail between its legs and run and hide behind a box on my neighbors patio. It didnt' move from that spot. I came back two hours later and it was still hiding...not making a sound.
Since that day I have only had to use it twice...each time reminding the dog of the trageties that will happen if it decides to bark. Now only if they had one of these for people!!!

Neighbor has a dog that barks non-stop the entire time it is outside. My fiance and I have not enjoyed our front, side or back yard for the last year. Our dog is constantly harassed by this barking and she also seemed a bit aggravated. I bought this thing mainly because it does not hurt dogs and I didn't want to press charges on the neighbor. Once I got it in the mail, I just "waited" for that dog to start barking. Once it dit, I took the DAZER, pointed it at the dog, held the button for 2 seconds and walah. The dog initially took several steps back and looked at me. As my dog ran to the corner of the yard, the other dog followed her and started barking again. I aimed, held the bottun for 2 seconds, and the dog tucked tail and ran to the middle of it's yard and stayed there the rest of the time I was outside. I have only had to use it once more on the dog. The dog has since stopped the annoying barking and digging along my fence row. Now we all can enjoy our yard without being bothered by the neighbors dog. FYI, the dog is a rather large dog. I have read reviews where other people said it didn't work on large dogs. BUY THIS!!!! IT WORKS!!!
