Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cuisipro Donvier Electronic Yogurt MakerCustomer Review: Easy way to eat healthy! Summary: 5 Stars
Fruit-on-the-bottom commercial yogurts taste great, but what's that corn syrup doing in there? With the Donvier yogurt maker, I know exactly what goes in my yogurt and I can add whatever ingredients I want: fresh fruit, honey, maple syrup, homemade strawberry jam. Prep is simple, and a single batch makes enough yogurt for a week's worth of breakfasts.
The only thing you have to think about is the timing. Since the process can take 10+ hours, you need to plan ahead so you're available to put the finished yogurt in the refrigerator when it's done.
Customer Review: want to love it Summary: 2 Stars
I want to love this yogurt maker but so far my first two batches are a bust! I'm following the instructions but getting nowhere. It seems from the reviews that I'm the only one who can't figure it out. 1 qt organic milk, heated until the milk steams and bubbles. Cool it to the right temperature. Mix a heaping TBL of commercial yogurt (I've been using Fage Greek) with some of the milk, then mix back in with all the milk. Load up jars and wait 10 hours (with machine on) and Voila! I have a milk that tastes like yogurt. Any suggestions from happy users?
Customer Review: Cuisipro Donvier Yogurt Maker Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this brand of yogurt maker after researching makers on the market today. The feature that really sold me was the timer that actually turns the maker off after the heating cycle was complete. I would have preferred a larger culturing container as the small cups are messy to fill and more work than making one large batch.
Making yogurt with the machine is simple, and it turns out perfect every time. We use the yogurt to make fruit smoothies for breakfast every morning so the maker will pay for itself in a couple of months.
Customer Review: Donvier Yogurt Maker and recipe Summary: 5 Stars
I think the Donvier yougurt maker is fantastic. I have two, and they never fail to make perfect yogurt. They are compact and easy to store as well. Any easy delicious recipe:
1 qt 1/2&1/2
1stp vanilla
1/2 cup Splenda sweetener (can use equal amount of sugar instead)
1 packet of Yogourmet yogurt starter
Mix all ingredients together. Distribute evenly into Donvier yogurt cups, process 10 hours. Refrigerate.
Can add 1 TBS of any jam when ready to eat or eat plain. Best yogurt I've ever had! Kids LOVE it!
Customer Review: Mmm. Homemade Yogurt Summary: 5 Stars
This yogurt maker works really well. It is conventient and produces excellent yogurt, if you use a good starter. The individual serving containers make the unit much more conventient than putting a mason jar in the oven with the pilot light lit. The stirring thermometer seems to be accurate enough. I have not experienced any of the problems that a few reviewers have noted. I have been using yogurt starter from Natren for Bulgarian style yogurt. It comes out nice a creamy. I have been using regular homogenized milk, not non-fat to date.
